“We have some new groups coming in that want to participate and want to offer their time and services, and I’m just overwhelmed by the support from the community with what they are doing here.” 

She says that it’s great that numbers are up for volunteers and thankfully, the numbers are down for those that actually need the service. She noticed that this year there weren’t as many mouths to feed.

“I think there is a couple of factors, I mean around Christmas people perhaps are home with their families and the weather has been much better than normal this time of year.”

She also thinks that once the weather gets a little cooler they may have more in need, but either way they will never shut their doors.

“No matter what, regardless if it is 3 people or 10 people or 15 people were going to continue offering the service, and it is something that the groups that have offered their service are very happy to do.”
